This list (correct in May 2015) comprises registered Montessori schools and those pre-school operators who have notified the HSE of their existence and are located in the environs of Monaleen. The HSE listing does not suggest any form of approval. The website also advises that it is ultimately the responsibility of the parents/guardians to choose a childcare service which meets the individual needs of their children.
Finally the HSE advises that any queries regarding creches and pre-schools should be directed to the Limerick Pre-School Inspection & Information Services, phone 483591.
The Montessori register is maintained by the Irish Montessori Education Board (phone 01 2805705) and a list of all registered Montessori schools can be obtained from them.
